Everyone should read this book

The teachings in this book are now taught in a different manner through the Secret, Ester and Jerry Hicks and many other books
that emphasize the power of our thoughts. It takes the mystery out of it. I bought the CD which is not as involved. The book is better and easy to read. Chapters are well done.

Amazing booklet that ROCKS!

As the author of Mind Your Own Fitness: How to Successfully Get Fit Using This Mental Toolbox (Volume 1) I've read all of Claude Bristol's book and this one brings about how simple it is to unleash that power within you. I was lucky enough to acquire an original signed copy after reading a reprinted one years ago. Yes, I do agree that the story he used to illustrate a point was racist. Still, it doesn't detract from the central idea of the book. And that being the power of belief and action.

I fully believe that if anyone reads and takes consistent action towards a purposeful goal based on the information gleamed in this book, they will have it. Now... -TAP-TAP-TAP-

For those of you that are having a hard time dealing with the wording from that time period, I'm planning on rewriting parts of it to suit today's world. BTW, I go through a time period (50's and 60's) when racism was very overt in the South.

I am glad it is back in hardcopy publication, meaning "TNT: It Rocks The Earth."; I have the e-book version. Claude Bristol is compelling and powerful in his ideas, especially the tap-tap-tap, repetition to program concept. As Nido Quebein says in his new intro to the Magic of Believing: "Read and reread the book until it becomes a part of your daily life. Then, when you know you can tackle the challenges of life, you can turn all your potential into reality."

Big Brother Lives

George Orwell did all of us a great service by writing "1984." This book would undo some of that good, helping to drum into us the Big Lie that liberals are to blame for all of our troubles. In the intro, the author claims to be presenting ideas that should appeal to both liberals and conservatives: to resist the drift towards 1984 by becoming more informed and active in American politics. But the book quickly turns into a hatchet job on our current President. The book centers on supporting its own big lie that global warming is a myth created by scientists "who have sold their souls at the IPCC grant trough." There is much of this argument-by-insult that I find obnoxious in this book. A telling quote from the book: "Liberalism has morphed into a quasi-religion with a liturgy requiring complete obeisance, and any deviation is apostasy punishable by excommunication." so Big Brother tells us.

Great book! It contains good points on the myth ...

Great book! It contains good points on the myth of man-made warming. Ice core data has revealed higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere at different periods going back tens of thousands of years without the help of humans. I recently read on article in a science magazine and it was trying to imply people were causing warming but there was not a single scientific fact to back up the argument. There are several scientific theories on nature-made climate change including100,000 year glaciation cycles which naturally warm and cool the earth.

It opened my eyes about the deepest reason of the Governments we have, the falling economies, the social problems we are facing and the environmental threats we are supposed to care about if we want our children have a good enough future... INTERESTING SPIN ON ALIEN ABDUCTION EROTICA

I would classify this Novella as an Alien Forced Breeding Fantasy Erotica. It is longer than most novellas typically are in this sub-category of erotica so the price is fairly reasonable.

The plot/storyline was actually refreshingly different from the trite reasons for alien breeding abduction stories and the sex scenes were really HOT. However, the alien creatures themselves didn't appeal to me. Even in a fantasy setting, I would find them replusive mainly because in real life I am highly afraid of lizards in any form. Yuck!!! I know go adead and laugh at me all my friends do. Futhermore, I know that this a totally irrationl fear. Nevertheless, if I could find a way of getting rid of ever lizard in my immediate surroundings I would. I've actually searched online for a "Lizard repellant" but without success. :)

Anyway, back to the story! Despite my personal adversion, the story was quite good and I felt it would be unfair to give it a low rating just because I suffer from an irrational fear. I actually like Natasha, Zeb and Lor. The author successfully made the latter two seems somewhat human in their emotions for Natasha. After reading captions from the other two books currently available in the series I can tell that this story is only going to get better and better. However, as you might expect I don't think I will continue reading the Series, but right now that's not definite because I really like the dynamics of the tale. I'm torn! LOL

In any case, for anyone without my particular phobia and who likes alien abduction erotica I recommend this book and the series. I do plan to check out some of the authours books.

Gorgeous book and somewhat a useful field guide... in Europe!

This is one of the most beautiful new books I have ever seen. The layout, colors, drawings, photographs, and written detail... I just want to live in it. It's like a very small coffee table book that's tough enough to take into the field. This book has taught me to recognize the difference between a Bolette, a Lactarius, a Russula, and an Amanita. For this reason it can be fun to own and would make a good gift - especially for a European friend.

Con:
Contrary to what it suggests on page 8, this book is NOT a field guide to North American mushrooms. I took a quick count and of the 51 fungi in the first chapter, ten are not even found outside of Europe and Asia. To be fair, a few of those are listed as "World Distribution Unknown." General features may carry across the ocean, but trying to identify North American mushroom *species* with this book is very hit or miss. They say that if you aren't certain of the species, you shouldn't be eating it. I'm a beginner, but I've only been able to identify maybe 20% of the most common mushrooms in my area (upstate SC, USA) with any degree of certainty using this book.

Good but beware!

This is an excellent guide with ONE important caveat: it is originally a guide to European mushrooms, not North American 'shrooms. Gary Lincoff, a leading mycologist, Americanized it somewhat. But some 'shrooms discussed within are only seen in Europe. Some names differ from ones normally used here. And so forth. On the plus side, the AMOUNT of info presented on each mushroom is quite useful, especially little diagrams indicating size relative to the size of a human hand. Pictures are excellent. Another plus: handy size and waterproof cover. Will hold up well in the woods. Organization is a bit weird; sections are divided by macro features (gilled, non-gilled etc.) which results in some species being scattered across several sections (see chanterelle family for examples).

Great book on identifying mushrooms.

This is my favorite book for mushroom identification. Each mushroom is shown from multiple angles along with a cut-away shot. It covers spore color, too. I reccomend it to all my foraging students.

The only downside is that some of the pictures can be on the small side, but they are still big enough to show you what you need to know.
